Next year’s tours takes place on

Saturday April 15, 2023.

Since 2015 we have hosted tours in April as part of the Brant Wildife Festival.

Once a year the landowners, Island Timberlands, grants permission to hold our Annual Tour as part of the Brant Wildlife Festival. The Hamilton Marsh Committee, Friends of French Creek Conservation Society, Arrowsmith Naturalists, North Island Wildlife Recovery Association (NIWRA), Arrowsmith Independent School and Ducks Unlimited Oceanside work together to make it a real treat!

Trail Walks: Small groups are led down the path towards the marsh while tour guides share interesting information about Flora and Fauna.  The trail itself takes only ten minutes to the marsh.  Plant markers will be in place thanks to Arrowsmith Naturalists.

Bug Show: Just before the dock is a “bug station” where labelled bugs and swamp life are identified in little containers.  Then Kids get to dip their nets over the side of the dock to see what they can catch, identify, and release.  They will become Certified Bug Detectives!

Bird Watching:  Knowledgeable birders will be on hand with a scope.  They’ll help you identify birds that are present those that travel through, and sometimes they identify birds not seen by their call!

Our tours take place rain or shine!  Dress in layers, bring gumboots, and get ready for the adventure
